HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIMON

Simon has turned one, and along with it came a great thing - no more formula or bottle. As soon as he turned one, the formula and bottle go "by by" and we said "hello" to milk, the sippie cup, and $60 more a month. It is great! It was a nice birthday party with some of Simon's favorite foods: chicken strips, fruit salad, and corn on the cob. Since we already have every toy know to man, it was difficult to find something that he could use that we did not already have. We settled in on the water table, that way while the older kids play on the swing set, he had something to do outside too. I did make the train cake, was not too difficult but a little time consuming. I must say I am proud of that cake. We had a great party and are grateful for such a happy baby in our home.

My baby turned one and, well, isn't he a cute guy! These were taken by Sassafrass Photography. We think we have the cutest son, but we are a little biased.

SPRING WAS HERE FOR ONE DAY

Spring came for a day, and we took advantage of it. Every spring I like to get pictures of the kids to remember what they looked like at this age. These were taken not too far from our house. The kids did pretty good, Max is always a wild card, and he did good for a while until he decided he would rather be doing something else. This picture of Simon is the best picture we got out of all the kids. Tom got a lot of fun pictures of the kids, this is just a sample of what he took that day. Enjoy!

Leave it to Max to not want to participate in what we want him to do, but it does make for a funny picture

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX

Max had an awesome birthday filled with lots of fun activities. The day started with dance class with grandpa, then Max and Adrianna went to the U of U scrimage game with Tom. They had a lot of fun hanging out with dad. Then our family, grandma Dawnell and grandpa Jerry, all went out for a night of fun. We had pizza for dinner at Big Daddy's pizza then bowling at Delton Bowling. The kids did not last very long bowling, which left Dawnell and I finishing everyone's game. It was a lot of work. I am bowled out. The kids wanted to play in the arcade instead of finishing bowling. Adrianna hit the jack pot and won 100 tickets off of one token. Max had just as much fun sitting on the arcade games and not actually playing them. We ended the night with 150 tokens. Adrianna bought Max a sword for his birthday with some of the winnings. We then went back to the house for Spider Man cake and yummy ice cream. Max, and with Adrianna's help, had a blast opening up presents. All in all it was a very fun birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!

Grandpa was on Simon duty, and used the time to catch up on some phone calls :)

Adrianna's winnings! Did I mention all off of ONE token?

SPIDER MAN CAKE THAT I MADE WITH TLC

The cake was a strawberry cake with buttercream frosting...Yummy!

Adrianna could not resist helping Max open presents. It is a good thing Max loves his sister. Max and his new tool belt.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US

Yeah for birthdays! Every year we have the tri-women's birthday party. My birthday, my mother's birthday, and my mother-in-law's birthday is all in January. Celebrating all together is fun and much easier. This time Dawnell hosted the party and we ate a lot of yummy food.We fit as many candles as we could on the cake, we are all too old to put the right amount of candles, and no one wanted to do the math
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OF US, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

White chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting (not Cool whip) garnished with strawberries. (which were $6 can we say not in season) YUMMY!

Guess what word she is saying CHEESE

Max and Aly

We celebrated with family at Grandma's house, with an Italian dinner which included spaghetti and lasagna, salad, mozarella sticks, and of course birthday cake and ice cream. It was a delightful evening where we all ate too much food. But it is a birthday, what else do you do.

All in all it was a great evening and we all enjoyed ourselves. Celebrating my birthday is great because we get to do it with family.
