SPRING IS HERE

Easter came and we had a lot of fun. We had to tell Adrianna who the Easter bunny was, and that mommy helps the Easter bunny buy her things for Easter. When she saw the new pair of sunglasses, she said, "the Easter bunny brought them back!" That is what happens when she is at the store with me when I buy the stuff.

The Easter bunny came to our house and brought Adrianna some fun stuff for spring.

The Easter bunny also brought Max some sunglasses and bubbles!

Tom's brother Aaron came to town for the Easter weekend, we had dinner with the Pace's and played the WII. It is always fun when you have family to laugh with.

Easter Sunday dinner we spent at Grandma Pace's house. The kids got more candy and fun toys.

TOM'S PROJECT
Tom is taking on the task of finishing the basement. We are not so crazy to do it ALL ourselves, however Tom is doing the majority of the work himself. I especially am excited to have more room for the kids to roam. With a family room our bedroom won't get so messy with toys. (that is what I hope for anyway) Here are a few pics of the process so far.

I am glad to see a new blog. Looks like the Pace's had a fun Easter. The basement is looking good. Maybe it will be all done when we get there. Very exciting! I can never post a comment on your blog unless I do it annoymously. What am I doing wrong? This is Brooke BTW.

Wow, your kids are getting so big! It's fun to see pics of them! Good for Tom...that is a big project but its looking good! Good luck. We need to get together sometime soon!

KIDS SAY AND DO THE DARNDEST THINGS...

If you know Adrianna, she loves to take baths. She sits in the tub until the water is cold. We often let her take a bath so we can get a few tasks done. (we are close enough to hear her) One Sunday, Adrianna was taking a bath and Max was was watching her. He pulls himself up on the tub and watches. The two of them had been in the bathroom for a while when I heard a strange sound. It sounded like water splashing on the tile floor. I went into the bathroom and found Adrianna dumping water out of the tub onto the floor. I was fuming...but then I saw Max, who was still perched on the outside of the tub, sopping wet and smiling from ear to ear. I had to find the strength from laughing to scold Adrianna for pouring water out of the tub.

dad- Adrianna, what did you learn at church?
Adrianna- Jesus died.
dad- Oh?
Adrianna- He lives in a castle
dad- really? where?
Adrianna- in a princess castle

We went to Costco a short time ago and while there we got to try lots of sample food. We happened upon some quiche, and apparently our children are not too fond of quiche. Adrianna tasted it and said,"I don't like it." So Max, seeing his sister spiting out the quiche, took it out of his mouth and thew his on the floor. I guess he wants to be like his older sister. Note to self: DON'T BUY QUICHE

We went to the park with family the other day. It is hard to keep track of all the kids at all times. Adrianna had apparently wandered off. I found her next to a woman who was looking for her "mommy." I went over to the woman to get Adrianna. The woman had asked Adrianna where her mommy was and she said "she got lost"

As a family we decided to walk to Chadders, it is very close to our house. We got a couple shakes and some fries to share. Max decided that he was not getting fed fast enough and grabed the shake and started to drink it. Imagine a 16 month old drinking from a large cup with a thick shake inside, it was not pretty. It ended up all over his face and shirt. In response Adrianna stated "He's a man." Tom said "yes he is"

Adrianna: dear Heavenly Father, I'm thankful for when we go to the restaurant with grandma, I didn't like my hamburger. Name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Adrianna has imaginary friends. Not the same friend from day to day, but imaginary friends in general. I asked her to help me clean her room. She told me she was playing with her friends. (imaginary ones) I said, "Can they help you clean your room?" Reply: "No mom, their just pretend."
