In My Spare Time

I finally took the leap and learned how to decorate cakes. I have been wanting to find a new hobby so that I can say that I have a hobby. I took this class with a neighbor friend and mother-in-law, and no it was not the one tought at Michael's. I want to take more classes and get better. My idea of better will never be all that great but it will be good for me. I am displaying these pictures not the brag, because let's face it they are nothing to brag about, but to show that it is never too late to try something new. Enjoy!

Cake #1 Sponge Bob Square Pants. I piped out stars using the frosting, like two containers of frosting. This is what I ended up with.

Cake #2 Barbie. I tried to make her modest and in doing so made her look a little porky. The flowers are fondant, fun to work with.

Cake #3 a Present. This cake was fun. I frosted the cake then added the ribbon, bow, and polk-a-dots with fondant.

Cake #4 Purse Cake. This cake took a few tries to make it look some-what decent, and this is the end result, not half bad I think
